Based in Toronto, Canada , and founded in 2004, Cineva Films Inc. produces feature and short narrative fiction, documentary, animation and hybrid films nationally and internationally. Born in Munich, Germany, Eva Ziemsen immigrated to Canada in 1988. Eva is a director, producer and writer and has worked in the film industry for the past 8 years. Her films include the multi-award winning, MAMA & PAPA (2001), CHILD OF CHERNOBYL (2001) and the documentary film A CONVERSATION WITH LARS VON TRIER (2005), which have been distributed and screened internationally and broadcast on television. Eva holds a Master of Arts Degree in Feature Film Development from Goldsmiths College, University of London, England and a BFA (Hons) from York University in Film and Video. Eva Ziemsen is also a Professor of filmmaking. She has taught throughout the past 7 years at Humber College, Toronto Film College, York University, Fanshawe College and in her successful workshop, "How to Get into the Film Industry in Toronto." At Cineva Films Inc., Eva is developing a music video, a feature-length documentary and two feature narrative films in co-production with Canadian and European-based production companies.
